Tanzania Invests $765,000 to Modernize Kilimanjaro Airport MRO Facility

Tanzania's government has launched a major upgrade of the aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hangar at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), aiming to cut costs and reduce reliance on overseas repairs. Deputy Minister for Transport David Kihenzile inspected the site on Saturday June 13, 2026.
