Rwanda Secures a $322 Million Guarantee to Advance Construction of Bugesera International Airport

Rwanda secured a guarantee of over USD 322 million from a consortium of four banks to finance the ongoing construction of Bugesera International Airport. Acting as the Mandated Lead Arranger and Facility Agent for the consortium, BPR Bank Rwanda PLC formalized the arrangement on July 9, 2025.
