Commercial Flights Resume at Bola Ahmed Tinubu Int’l Airport After Six Years Closure

The Nigerian federal government inaugurated flight operations at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna, Niger State, on April 23, 2025. The ceremony, led by Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, marked the resumption of commercial flights, with Overland Airways as the pioneer airline partner. The airport, previously named Abubakar Imam International Airport, was renamed in March 2024 to honor President Bola Tinubu for his support in its rehabilitation.
