Boeing Plans to Test the 777X at Addis Abeba Int’l Airport
Boeing plans to conduct suitability tests for its advanced Boeing 777X
aircraft at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD), a move that
underscores the airport’s growing prominence as a testing ground for
next-generation aircraft. The announcement follows a recent visit by a Boeing
delegation, led by Airport Operations Manager Mr. Dumitru Foca, to the
Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) on August 27, 2025.
