2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for Algiers’ Houari Boumédiène International Airport. In his New Year’s message, Mokhtar Said Mediouni, CEO of the company managing Algiers' airport services and infrastructure, revealed his ambition to transform the airport into a cutting-edge technological hub. Among the key projects are the introduction of facial recognition and artificial intelligence, innovations aimed at enhancing the services of an airport that handled over 10 million passengers last year.
