Uganda: President Museveni Orders the Dismissal of Nearly 150 Aviation Staff Over Corruption and Incompetence
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has issued a
firm directive to the Ministry of Works and Transport, calling for a
comprehensive overhaul of operations at Entebbe International Airport and
within the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA). The order, dated June 25,
2025, comes in response to mounting public frustration over widespread bribery,
extortion, and deteriorating service quality at the country’s primary aviation
gateway.
