Nigeria to Rolls Out Facial Recognition System to Streamline Domestic Air Travel
The Federal
Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) on Thursday July 16, 2026, announced the deployment
of V-PASS, a biometric facial recognition system designed to make domestic passenger
processing faster and more secure across the airports, a further step in the
technological modernisation of one of Africa's largest domestic aviation markets.
