South Africa:ACSA Terminates ACS Contract Following Serious Security Breach at OR Tambo
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has
terminated its contract with Aviation Coordination Services (ACS) after a
significant security lapse at O.R. Tambo International Airport (ORTIA). The
decision, announced on July 24, 2025, follows an incident in which a passenger
managed to board an Ethiopian Airlines flight to Addis Ababa with two
undetected training hand grenades in their checked luggage.
