Seychelles and ASECNA Partner to Advance Satellite Navigation in Africa and the Indian Ocean
In a significant move to enhance air navigation in Africa and the Indian Ocean region, the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA) has joined forces with the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) to advance its ANGA (Augmented Navigation for Africa) program. Signed in December 2024, the cooperation agreement marks a key step in ASECNA’s efforts to deploy satellite-based augmentation systems (SBAS) across the entire AFI (Africa and Indian Ocean) region.
