Nigeria’s E-Visa and Automated Cards Set to Transform Immigration by May 2025
On April 9, 2025, Nigeria took a decisive step toward redefining its immigration landscape with the announcement of an electronic visa (e-visa) system and the full digitization of landing and exit cards at its international airports, slated for implementation on May 1, 2025. This groundbreaking initiative was unveiled during a joint press briefing in Abuja by Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo.
