Madagascar : The World Food Programme Conducts Its First Humanitarian Drone Operation
The World Food Programme (WFP) has launched its first humanitarian drone delivery operation in Madagascar, aimed at delivering aid to remote and hard-to-reach communities. This operation utilizes Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to transport critical supplies, such as nutrition supplements for malnourished children, to areas where traditional access is severely limited due to challenging terrain, destroyed infrastructure from cyclones, and prolonged droughts.
