Nigeria's Kano State Unveils Plans for Owned Airline
Nigeria’s northern
commercial hub, Kano State, has unveiled plans to establish its own state-owned
airline, as subnational governments increasingly seek to expand their footprint
in the country’s aviation industry. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf disclosed the
initiative during the 40th Kano State Executive Council Meeting held on
Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Council Chamber, Government House, Kano.
