ICAO supports Ghana in assessing its SAF development
Ghana has obtained technical assistance from the International Civil
Aviation Organization (ICAO) to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study on
the development of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) within the country. The
Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), which announced the initiative on May 20, 2025, emphasized the
nation’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions in its aviation sector and
aligning with global decarbonization goals.
