South African Competition Watchdog Backs Harith's FlySafair Takeover with Conditions
South Africa's Competition Commission has recommended
conditional approval of infrastructure investment firm Harith Aviation's
proposed acquisition of Safair Holdings, the parent company of low-cost carrier
FlySafair, in a deal that would bring the country's largest domestic airline
under local ownership while addressing competition concerns linked to airport
operations.
