AfDB and Japan’s JGC Partner to Advance Sustainable Aviation Fuel Development in Africa
The African Development Bank (AfDB) and Japan’s JGC Corporation have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to collaborate on the development and deployment of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) across Africa. Announced on October 2, the agreement was formalized on August 21, 2025, in Yokohama, Japan, during the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9).
