AFCAC Advances Drive to Harmonize Aviation Taxes Across Africa
The African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC),
in partnership with the African Union Commission (AUC), has taken a major step
toward reducing the cost of air travel in Africa. On September 10, 2025, AFCAC
convened a Virtual Validation Workshop on the Study on Adverse Effects of High
Taxes, Fees, and Charges on African Aviation. The initiative was supported by
the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
