$44 million public debt chokes Uganda’s aviation sector, regulator warns
Uganda’s aviation sector is facing accumulated public sector arrears of 166.6 billion Ugandan shillings (about $44 million) owed to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), following prolonged non-payment of aviation charges by several government entities, including Uganda Airlines, the regulator said.
