Egyptair Maintenance & Engineering Bolsters Engine Services with New V2500-A5 Capability
On August 30, 2025, Egyptair
maintenance & engineering (EGYPTAIR
M&E) announced a significant expansion of its engine maintenance capabilities,
marking a pivotal step in its growth as a leading maintenance, repair, and
overhaul (MRO) provider in the Middle East and Africa. The company has secured
a new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) license from Pratt & Whitney
and International Aero Engines (IAE), enabling its Engine Shop to perform
comprehensive repair work on the V2500-A5 engine, a widely used powerplant for
the Airbus A320ceo family. This development strengthens EGYPTAIR M&E’s
service portfolio and positions it to meet rising demand from both its parent
company, EgyptAir, and third-party customers.
