Nigeria's Startup Umza Air Secures AOC
The Nigerian skies are set to welcome a new player. On December 12, 2024, Umza Air, operating under the commercial brand UmzaXpress with a fleet of three Dash 8-400 aircraft, was granted its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), a crucial step for launching its operations. The ceremony was held under the supervision of Chris Ona Najomo, Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
