Maldives Grants Ethiopian Airlines Fifth Freedom Rights to Fly to Ten Asian and Oceanian Countries
Ethiopia and the Maldives signed a bilateral air
services agreement on Monday Jully 21, 2026, that will enable direct air links and grant Ethiopian
Airlines fifth freedom traffic rights, allowing the carrier to transport
passengers between the Maldives and multiple destinations in Asia, Australia
and beyond.
