Egyptair, Africa's Lonely Voice in Aviation's Global Carbon Alliance
IATA launched a landmark alliance on the sidelines of its Annual General Meeting in Rio to unlock carbon credits under the CORSIA mechanism. Among 32 founding members, only one African airline made the list: Egyptair. A continent rich in eligible climate projects remains on the margins of a market worth potentially billions.
