Douala Court Sentences Boeing and Pratt & Whitney to Pay 254 Million USD for the 1984 Cameroun Airlines 737-200 Tragedy
On August 30, 1984, the B737-200 belonging to Cameroun Airlines, the now-defunct Cameroonian national airline, caught fire during a taxiing phase before takeoff at Douala International Airport. Forty years later, the Wouri High Court in Douala has ruled that this accident is the responsibility of Boeing and Pratt & Whitney.
