ASKY Expands Fleet with Fifth Boeing 737 MAX 8, Reinforcing Status as Africa’s Second-Largest MAX Operator

As exclusively announced by NewsAero last month, ASKY, the Togolese airline, has effectively received its fifth Boeing 737 MAX 8 on March 18, 2025, during a ceremony at Lomé’s Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport, its operational hub. The aircraft, configured with 185 seats (8 in business class and 177 in economy), elevates ASKY to the position of Africa’s second-largest operator of the MAX series, trailing only Ethiopian Airlines, its strategic partner.
