Since its inauguration on December 7, 2017, Blaise Diagne International Airport has been on a trajectory of consistent growth. Despite facing a challenging period between 2020 and 2022 due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the airport swiftly rebounded to pre-pandemic traffic levels by June 2022. Now, with a nearly 12% increase in passenger numbers between 2022 and 2023, the airport has outperformed expectations at a time when many others are grappling to restore normalcy.
