Safer Landings at Zanzibar: The Airport Installs a Category I Precision ILS System
Zanzibar Airports Authority (ZAA) and its technical partner,Société d’Exploitation et de Gestion Aéroportuaires (SEGAP) have successfully installed a Category I Precision Instrument Landing System (ILS) at Zanzibar’s Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (AAKIA). This upgrade enhances the airport’s navigation infrastructure, which handles more than 2 million passengers annually, significantly improving air travel safety.
