Northeast Nigeria Soars: Maiduguri Airport Earns International Status
As part of efforts to revitalize Nigeria's aviation industry and open up the country’s northeast region, The Federal Government has officially elevated Maiduguri’s Muhammadu Buhari Airport to international status.. The announcement was made on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, by Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo during a courtesy visit from the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umar Zulum, in Abuja.
