Ghana Proposes New Airport Infrastructure Charge to Fund Expansion Projects
Ghana’s government has proposed the introduction of a new Airport
Infrastructure Development Charge (AIDC) to accelerate long-planned upgrades
across the country’s airport network. The measure was announced by Finance
Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson during the presentation of the 2026 Budget
Statement to Parliament on November 13, 2025.
