Chad Moves to Scrap Visas for Africans as It Advances Air Connectivity Strategy
Chad’s government is
accelerating plans to abolish entry visa requirements for all African nationals,
in a push to boost regional integration, tourism and air connectivity. The visa
reform, announced by President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, took a major step
forward on July 22 when Transport Minister Fatimé Goukouni Weddeye chaired an
interministerial meeting to prepare its implementation.
