Race against the clock: Congo Airways facing potential loss of AOC
Congo Airways is racing against time to secure an operational aircraft registered in the Democratic Republic of Congo by September 16. Failure to do so will result in the loss of its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), according to a report from the Council of Ministers on Friday, June 28, 2024, as disclosed by the Minister of Communication, Patrick Muyaya.Currently, the airline operates only one leased aircraft, a Boeing 737-300 (LZ-LVK, MSN 26573, 31 years old) leased from Bulgarian company ALK Airlines, with the lease set to expire in the coming days.
