Nigeria’s Green Africa Airways Faces $5M Claim from ACIA Aero Leasing in London Court
On August 6, the High Court of Justice of England and Wales announced its intention to transfer the dispute between ACIA Aero Leasing (UK) Limited and Green Africa Airways Limited to the London Circuit Commercial Court, which handles complex commercial litigation. According to the court’s decision, reviewed by NEWSAERO, the parties have seven days to submit a written objection; if no response is received, the transfer will take effect automatically.The dispute concerns the lease of three ATR 72-600 aircraft (already returned to the lessor) and involves unpaid rent and maintenance provisions, with ACIA claiming a total of $5.15 million.
