Madagascar Airlines CEO Thierry de Bailleul Resigns Amid Internal Discord

Less than two months after the extension of his mandate, Madagascar Airlines CEO Thierry de Bailleul has announced his immediate resignation, citing a climate of internal mistrust that made it “impossible to continue without further aggravating tensions.” In a message addressed to staff on Wednesday, October 15, the French executive — who took office in December 2022 — said he was stepping down “with regret,” while expressing his gratitude to employees for their commitment and professionalism during what he described as two transformative years for the national carrier.
