Libya Prepares Full Reopening of Tripoli International Airport
The Joint Committee responsible for testing the systems and equipment at
Tripoli International Airport held its first meeting on Monday, May 25, 2026,
at the headquarters of the Libyan Airports Authority (LAA), marking a major
step toward the airport’s full return to service after 11 years of closure.
The airport has been limited to private flights since its partial
reopening in May 2025.
