Kenya Airways Returns to Profitability: A Remarkable Turnaround after a Decade of Losses
Following ten
years of consecutive losses, Kenya Airways has finally turned a profit. In
2023, the company recorded a remarkable turnaround, posting an operational
profit of 10.5 billion Kenyan shillings (equivalent to 79.03 million USD), a
substantial increase from the 5.6 billion Kenyan shillings loss (equivalent to
41.40 million USD) reported the previous year. This achievement was announced
during a meeting between KQ's top management and its shareholders on March 26,
2024.
