Kenya Airways Launches First Locally Sourced SAF-Powered Flight
Kenya Airways (KQ) has achieved a defining new step for African aviation after operating the first
flight on the continent powered by Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) produced
locally in Kenya. The historic showcase flight, KQ784, departed Nairobi’s Jomo
Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) at 17:45 and landed at Cape Town
International Airport (CPT) at 21:51 on October 21.
