Allen Ifechukwu Athan Onyema, the founder and CEO of Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest private airline, alongside the airline's Chief of Administration and Finance, Ejiroghene Eghagha, has been indicted in the United States on charges of obstruction of justice. According to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) on October 11, 2024, the indictment stems from allegations that Onyema and Eghagha submitted false documents to U.S. authorities in an attempt to halt a previous investigation that had led to charges of bank fraud and money laundering.Air Peace has responded.
