Ibom Air, the Akwa Ibom State Government-owned airline, has marked a turnaround in its financial performance for the 2024 fiscal year, reporting a net profit of N6.8 billion ($4.41 million). This achievement stands in stark contrast to the N8.7 billion ($5.64 million) loss recorded in 2023, signaling a robust recovery for the airline. The announcement was made during Ibom Air’s first public Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on June 25, 2025, in Uyo, where the airline also unveiled significant leadership changes to steer its ambitious growth trajectory.
