IATA Warns Net Zero 2050 Goal Becoming Harder as 2025 Marks Setback
The airline industry faces a tougher path toward its 2050 net-zero goal as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production falls short of expectations and European policies push up costs without boosting supply, IATA Director General Willie Walsh said on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the association’s Media Day.
