Ethiopian Airlines Expands Its Cargo Network in China with a Service to Urumqi
China’s Xinjiang region has inaugurated its first direct air cargo route
to Africa, a milestone in strengthening logistics connectivity between China
and the continent. Operated by Ethiopian Airlines, the new route will see two
to three round-trip freighter flights each week, enhancing access for Xinjiang
exporters to African and global markets, while also bringing African goods—such
as beef, lamb, coffee, and horticultural products—directly to Chinese
consumers.
