EgyptAir’s Long-Stored E170s Find New Life in the Caribbean

After years in storage, EgyptAir’s retired Embraer 170 aircraft have finally found a new operator. On June 24, 2025, the first unit (MSN 17000284, ex-SU-GDK), a 16-year-old airframe, departed Cairo International Airport en route to the Caribbean, marking the initial delivery to interCaribbean Airways, based in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
