NG Eagle, an airline created in 2022 from the assets of collapsed carrier Arik Air, now finds itself at the centre of a high-stakes fraud trial, with Nigeria's anti-corruption agency alleging its very foundation was bankrolled with misappropriated funds. The timing is striking: the airline had just launched, in early June 2025, an in-house aviation training academy freshly certified by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
