Dakar Plans USD 117 Million Budget for Two New Air Senegal Aircraft in 2026
The Senegalese government has allocated 66 billion CFA francs
(approximately USD 117 million)
in its 2026 Finance Bill for the purchase of two new aircraft for Air Sénégal.
The investment underscores the country’s ambition to reinforce control over its
air transport sector and advance its goal of aviation sovereignty. This
bill, published by the General Directorate of Budget on September 30, 2025,
must still be submitted to Parliament for approval.
