Astral Aviation, Kenya’s premier all-cargo airline, has marked a historic achievement in African aviation by completing its first in-house C-check on a Boeing 767-200F freighter (registration 5Y-SNL) between May and June 2025. This significant milestone, conducted entirely by Astral’s engineering team at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), as the airline grows its self-reliance for heavy maintenance capabilities in sub-Saharan Africa.
