Air Sénégal accuses, IATA responds: BSP fund seizure for Carlyle backed by court ruling

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has officially responded to the growing controversy surrounding the withholding of Air Sénégal’s funds amid an ongoing legal dispute with U.S. lessor Carlyle Aviation Partners. In a clarification note shared with our newsroom on June 25, IATA rejected any claims of discretionary action, stating it is acting under a binding Senegalese court order.
