Air France Postpones Resumption of AES Routes to September 2025, Pending Political Approval

According to data retrieved from Global Distribution Systems (GDS) by AeroRoutes, Air France has pushed back the relaunch of its suspended routes to Bamako (Mali), Niamey (Niger), and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) from July to September 2025. However, the French flag carrier’s return to these key West African capitals—each a founding member of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES)—remains contingent on approval from local authorities, who have maintained strained relations with France.
