U-turn: Nigeria Suspends Planned Increase in Air Navigation Charges
Airspace users (commercial airlines and, where appropriate, general aviation) are required to pay for air navigation charges which are used to finance the services provided by the State, in order to ensure the flights’ safety and efficiency. The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) announced on Monday, July 29, 2024, that the planned increase in navigation fees, set to take effect on September 1, has been put on hold.
