The modernization of Mbuji-Mayi Airport in the Democratic Republic of Congo is an initiative aimed at enhancing the accessibility of Kasai Oriental and stimulating the local economy. The ongoing upgrade work at Mbuji-Mayi Airport in Kasai Oriental is scheduled for completion in February 2025, according to Chinese Ambassador ZHAO Bin, who announced this following an inspection visit to the site on Sunday, August 25, 2024.
