Kenya Association of Air Operators Calls for Review of JKIA Concession Process, Citing Transparency Concerns

The Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO) has called for a review of the concession process for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), expressing concerns over the lack of transparency and stakeholder involvement in the current approach. In a statement released on October 8, 2024, the KAAO Board highlighted significant risks with the process, particularly pointing out the dangers of a one-bidder model and the limited participation from key stakeholders.
