South Sudan Parliament Passes Landmark Law Granting Full Autonomy to Civil Aviation Authority

On September 16, 2024, South Sudan’s Parliament passed the South Sudan Aviation Authority Act 2012 (Amendment) Bill 2024. This bill aims to reform and modernize the country’s civil aviation laws, establishing the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority (SSCAA) as an autonomous entity responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the nation's airspace.
