Role of the PDCT-AC, the Community Aviation Code, and ASSA-AC in the Implementation of the SAATM ( part 3/3)

The PDCT-AC is a strategic framework adopted in 2004 by the Heads of State of ECCAS with the objective of developing an integrated transport network in Central Africa. It encompasses road, rail, port, and airport projects designed to strengthen regional integration, economic competitiveness, and the mobility of goods and people. Although historically focused on land-based infrastructure (roads, railways, multimodal corridors), the PDCT-AC also incorporates strategic components relating to civil aviation, within the framework of ECCAS’s regional vision for 2035. It aims to reinforce inter-State air links as a complement to terrestrial corridors.
