Mauritania Backs ICAO Governance Reforms with Official Ratification of Key Protocols
Mauritania has officially submitted its instruments of ratification for amendments to Articles 50(a) and 56 of the Chicago Convention, reinforcing its commitment to the evolution of global civil aviation governance. The handover took place on February 17, 2025, in Montreal, where Mauritania’s Permanent Representative to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Kane Ibrahima, presented the documents to ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar on behalf of the Minister of Equipment and Transport, Aâl Ould El Ferk.
